Independent Fan Film creating a new Harry Potter fan freak-out…
“Voldemort: Origins of the Heir” is a non-profit fan film, inspired by the Harry Potter universe. The idea was born while re-reading the sixth book of the saga, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.” “We wondered:What made Tom Riddle become Voldemort? What happened in those years, and what really went down at Hogwarts when he came back? There are some clues in the books which have not been transposed at all in the movies, but a lot goes unspoken. This is the story we want to tell: the rise of the Dark Lord before Harry Potter and his first demise.”
Tryangle created the crowdfunded film that got started on Kickstarter, the project caught the attention of Warner Bros., who initially was resistant to the fan film. But a deal was struck, and a surprisingly stunning and well-shot teaser for the fan film was released.
An independent film-making production, founded by Gianmaria Pezzato and Stefano Prestia, the team, in cooperation with Michele Purin, is currently working on a movie set in the Harry Potter universe. Gianmaria and Stefano want to prove how, with commitment and passion, even without large Hollywood funds, it is possible to realize competitive and valuable movies.This is the first teaser for the non-profit film currently in production by Tryangle, which explores the early life of Voldemort, the powerful dark wizard and all the things that make him “He-who-must-not-be-named” from the Harry Potter saga. The film will also include the character of dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald.
The story will reveal the time period during which Tom Marvolo Riddle left Hogwart’s and went on a deadly murder spree to acquire the artifacts he needed to create the many Horcruxes he created to ensure his survival. Voldemort actually split his soul into eight parts, not seven. He meant to make six horcruxes – the locket, the ring, the diadem, the diary, the cup, and Nagini, leaving a seventh part in him. However, he made an accidental horcrux when murdering the Potters, which was Harry. This is all using source material from the novels themselves.With Grisha McLaggen, the heroine of the film, who narrated the trailer, they take a turn away from the source material of the books by Rowling. Speculation is that she is possibly related to Cormac McLaggen from novels.
